At the time, it looked like a good idea...

Okay, so I saw the colored bubbles in the store and thought M would have a great time…  I mean colored bubbles are way cooler than clear bubbles, right!

Note to self, I should have truly thought about the fact that they were colored, not clear, meaning that color would end up every where…

I don't think the husband was impressed!
Not the smartest move on my part, but look at M's face, he had a blast!

And so did she…

And at the end of the day, that is all that is important to me, is that both of my kiddos are happy, and having a great time…  In my book, that means I’m doing something right!  Even if, it takes giving them baths again, and doing laundry at 8:00 at night, to remove the color from their clothes…

Yesterday morning, I loaded the kids up and went to see my grandparents, to have some family time.  My Nana ended up getting released from the rehab center on Friday, which is awesome.  She is doing so much better, and I'm so thankful and relieved for how well she is doing!  The little girl got adored and the little man had fun being chased by his Uncle!  My Aunts have been taking turns cooking meals for my Nana & Papa, so I thought it would be nice to give them a break, and let me make a dish for my grandparents.  I feel bad that I'm not always there to help out.  My Nana & Papa have always been there for me, and when I can I try to return the favor.  So, I cooked them a nice pasta dish, that everyone enjoyed.

You see that rocking chair, it is over 50 years old…  I thought that was my rocking chair, but it turns out it was my Aunt’s, from when she was a baby.  My Nana & Aunt, told me that I could  take it home yesterday for the little angel.  I’m so excited to have this rocker, to add to A’s room.  She loved it, but I guess you can already tell that, from the smile on her face!

After we left my grandparents house, we had to go to the store.  I had to get something to fix for dinner.  I was a cooking machine all weekend.  I cooked three meals this weekend, I usually cook once a week!  Go me, go me, I did it, yes I did…  So last night, I wanted something lite, since we had two heavy pasta dishes back to back.  So, here is what I fixed, and it was wonderful…  Sorry, I don’t’ have any photos, just the ingredients…

8-9 Cherry Tomatoes, cut in half
¼ cup of olive oil
1 tsp of salt
Pepper
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 tbsp of Italian seasoning
***Stir & pour over the tomatoes…  You will let this cook in the oven, on 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.  Don’t burn the garlic.

Then you will heat the noodles of your choice.  I chose Bow Tie pasta noodles.  I also added bacon to this dish this time around.  We don’t usually fry bacon in our house, we cook it in the oven.  I was also careful not to add too much bacon to the dish, I don’t want the bacon to over power the other flavors.

My husband said the dish was really good, so that made my day.  I also served the meal with garlic bread, Y-U-M-M-Y!

So this was our Sunday, eventful, busy and I was one worn out mama!  But being able to spend the day with family, and watching your kids have a great time, makes it all worth it!

It is Monday, and I’m acting like it is Tuesday… Hi oh, hi oh off to work I went…  Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Cheers to hopefully a fabulous week!  M gives it two hands up!

Two fussy little ones...

How has your day been?  Here is how our day, more like afternoon has been…

Photobucket

Poor little girl was pretty fussy this afternoon.  Which that can wear you out pretty quickly…  Actually both kiddos were a little grumpy this afternoon, after they woke up from their afternoon naps.

***My Aunt got A this outfit, and I love it on her!  I tried getting a full shot of it today, to show it's true cuteness, but A just didn't want to cooperate...  Little stinker!

We did have a surprise visit today from Nonnie, along with my Aunt & Uncle.  The company was nice, and the kiddos enjoyed having new blood in the house.  And I did pretty much NOTHING today, but sit on my rear end!  And I enjoyed every minute of doing NOTHING!  So much for laundry and cleaning house!  I love being lazy.  I did fix a late lunch for everyone, which turned out really good.  I have to say, I have been really impressed with myself with this whole cooking thing.  My dishes have actually been really good, so YAY me!  Hi-Five, anyone!  And I did give both kiddos a bath tonight, along with some dusting earlier today, so I wasn’t completely lazy.

***My little helper...

Both kiddos are still fighting this bug that they have, I have sucked snot out of their noses all day…  I will be glad with this crap they have is gone!

The kiddos are in bed, and that is where I truly need to be.  I am beyond tired.  The little girl is still waking up in the middle of the night.  At first it might have been because of the teething, but now I think she is waking to eat.  So last night I pretty much refused to give her a bottle when she woke up.  I did get her back to bed, without one, but it was a long battle.  And then tonight before bed she decided to throw up her entire dinner on me, after her bath.  I know, how lovely!  So, I’m sure that was payback for last night, and she will be up within the next hour are two, wanting to eat.  I feel like I can’t win.

Goodnight sweet angels!

What was I thinking Friday...

Well hello sunshine, and HELLO FRIDAY!  It took you look enough to get here…  This week has been a blur, just like the entire month of March…  The kiddos have had running noses, been sneezing and coughing all week.  The little girl did give her mama & daddy one night of restful sleep.  To bad mama didn’t get to fully enjoy it, due to mama having a running nose, sore throat and horrible cough!  Great week, I know…  The important thing is we are all alive and healthy for the most part!

Photobucket

I’m getting ready to vent a little…  Because I am a female, and we all know females are the best at complaining and whining.  Or so that is what the guys say.  But don't even get me started on that!  Anyways, onto why I’m going to vent...

Dear Blue Accent Hyundai,

Please do not get on the tollway and go 55 mph, take the service road, since that is the speed limit on the service road.  On the tollway, we drive 80-90 mph, sometimes faster, depending on where I need to be, and who is in the car with me.  Please stay out of my way, if you see me again on the tollway.  Next time, I won’t be so nice.  Thanks, and have a fabulous day!  xoxo, meJ

Seriously people, if you can’t keep up with the big boys, then stay on the kiddie road.  It drives me crazy, when people will get on the toll road, drive in the far left lane or the middle lane, and slow traffic down.
So, moving on to “What was I thinking Friday”…  Here are my fabulous moments of the week, that I would like to forget about…

  •   Taking 75 pictures of your kiddos, to only realize your camera was on the wrong setting and all the photos came out grainy!  This happened on Saturday, and I’m still really bitter about this!
  •   Waking up late for work, because you turned your alarm off, instead of hitting snooze!
  •   Thinking you grabbed the shampoo, when it was really the conditioner…  Yeah, my hair is really soft, but oh so flat!
  •   Putting dish soap in the dishwasher…  Not a smart move.  Once I realized what I had done, I cleaned my mess up, and left it for husband at that point.  I don’t need a house full of suds…
  •   Sending an email to a customer, stating "that should be a problem"…  When I really meant, "that shouldn’t be a problem."  Talk about BIG confusion!  Not to mention, you really don’t want to tell a customer "that should be a problem."
  •   Going to brush your teeth, and turning on the pro tooth brush before you get it in your mouth…  Yeah, toothpaste in your eye, doesn’t feel good at all…  You have been informed!
  •   Telling someone the other day I was 30, and being serious about it too.  To only spend the next 30 minutes, trying to figure out how old I truly am, which isn’t 30…  Seriously!
So, how has your week been?  Do you have any “what was I thinking” moments you would love to share, or just get off your chest?  I would love to hear them.  I would like to know that I’m not alone, going about each day more than half a sleep, and in a zombie state 95% of the time…  Yes people, this is reality!

Last night we took the kiddos to Gattitown for a fundraiser that M’s school was doing.  It was a nice evening, M got to do his own thing, which he is all about these days!  Is my kid two, or going on 16?  Just curious, with this whole not listening thing he has going on lately…  We also wasted $20 on a game card, that wasn’t needed.  M couldn’t stay put long enough to play one game.  So we would slide the card thinking, oh M is interested and then he would run off onto something new, and we would slide the card again, BECAUSE WE ARE SUCKERS, and obviously we didn't get it, after this happened 10 times! What are we, first time parents are something!?!  So, we ended up letting other kids finish our games, yeah they thought we were AWESOME.  Because we ARE dude!

So, I’m glad it is Friday, and bet you are too!  Have a drink for me if you are out, but please remember to drink responsibly…  Not sure what we will be doing this weekend, probably the same as last weekend, LAUNDRY, because I have a ton of it to do!  Not to mention a dirty house, that could use some serious love.  Cheers to a fabulous weekend!  And hopefully two kiddos that aren't sick, thankyousoverymuch!

Goodnight sweet angels!
