A regular Saturday...

I love Saturdays!  Even when they are stressful, and everyone is in a grumpy mood…  On Saturdays I get to wake up to the sound of my kiddos vs my alarm, we get to eat breakfast together, we get to curl up on the couch for our morning cartoons, we get to eat lunch together, along with an afternoon full of family time, we may or may not get to nap together (always love when we do), and an evening curled up on the couch wounding down from the day’s activities.  Along with this mama getting some much needed quiet time at the end, that she has longed for all week!

Photobucket
***Look, I have new wall art!  How thoughtful of my son...

Today has been a regular Saturday.  I got the house picked up, and within five seconds the kiddos had all their toys drug out again.  I got the laundry folded and put away, just to have another load waiting for me this evening from today’s clothes.  Laundry is a never-ending chore, that I can’t stand doing!  The little lady rearranged the chairs in the kitchen, like she does everyday…   And the little man aggravated his sister, and cheered her on when she would walk.

Photobucket

My sweet little angel loves to play some “So Big”…

Photobucket

Sweet angel, mama sure does adore you!

Photobucket

Sweet girl, you are getting so BIG...  I can't believe you are walking...  I don't know why it is so hard for me to believe, since I was walking at 7 months.

Baby boy, mama sure does adore you too!

Photobucket

What do you love about Saturdays?

My angels are in bed, and I’m enjoying some much needed down time, and catching up on shows that are dated back in January…  As the shows are coming to an end for the season, I’m just now getting to watch them.

Goodnight sweet angels!

What was I thinking Friday...

PhotobucketDid you hear, the Royal Wedding was today!?!  I will blame it on the mail, and say that my invitation got lost in the mail!
I felt a little left out today…  I get to work this morning and everyone was talking about how pretty Kate’s dress was, how awkward the first kiss was so the prince went in for another kiss, and of course how beautiful Kate was.  I guess if I didn’t love my sleep as much as I do, I  could of made time to watch the wedding at 4:00 this morning, so I could have been involved in the conversations at work.  But instead, get this, I had to stay at my desk and actually work.  I know, how dare me…

I am glad that it is Friday.  Our weekend was so busy last weekend that I didn’t get a minute to myself or any rest, so I’m hoping for a little down time, at some point this weekend.  Not sure when it will happen though.  Also, I won’t be having a pajama party/sleepover tonight with my girlfriend.  I was looking forward to acting like a teenager (with kids), and doing funny girlie things.  It has been postpone until next weekend, which that is okay, it will give me more time to come up with fun things for us to do, so watch out E…

This is what I woke up to this morning...

Photobucket

Poor baby boy was sick yesterday, and was running a fever last night into this morning.  Thankfully, this evening he has felt a lot better!

You see this sweet little angel...

Photobucket

She sure does love her brother…

Photobucket

She sure does love to play peek-a-boo with her brother…

Photobucket

I see you…

Photobucket

She sure does love pushing him around the backyard…  Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture!?!  One would think, that M would push his sissy around, but I guess he has the right idea.  Just chill out and let her do all the work.

Photobucket

I can't believe she is getting ready to be 10 months old!  She is now officially walking, without any help!

I missed "What was I thinking" last week, since I was enjoying time with my family, coloring eggs with my son, cleaning my house, doing laundry, and preparing myself to cook dinner for a house full of guest the next day.  Sorry, I know everyone enjoys reading my mishaps, or maybe not!

But to be honest, you didn't miss much...  Ready or not, here are my "what was I thinking" moments...

  • Taking a load of clothes out of the dryer, getting side tracked by the little girl in my life, to only put the clean clothes in the washer, to wash them again, instead of putting the actual dirty clothes in the washer.
  • Putting clothes in the washer, and forgetting to put detergent in the washer to clean the clothes.  Not the most pleasant smell, when you open the washer.
  • Grabbing a pan out of the toaster oven without an oven mitt, ouch!  I do this quite often...
That's all I have for ya!  I would love to hear your moments of the week.  Cheers to a fabulous weekend, and me getting some rest.

I'm so out of the loop...

Do you ever feel like your in the know, but really aren’t!?!  Today, I was having lunch with my girlfriend, and she asked me if I was going to watch the wedding.  And my response, which wasn’t what she was hoping or looking for because I'm sure I looked clueless,  what wedding?  I had no clue, nor do I really care about the Royal Wedding.  She was shocked, because in all honesty, probably three years ago, I would have been all over this Royal Wedding hype.  But when you have two kids (toddler & infant) and work full time, the last thing on your mind, is who is getting married in England.  I’m too busy changing diapers, feeding my kids, washing hands and faces, along with trying to survive tantrum after tantrum, to care about a wedding that will start at 4:00 in the morning.  Since this will be considered history in the making, I told her that I would DVR it (mainly for her to come over and watch), so that I could try to watch it when I had a free minute, 5 years from now.  Which at that time DVR’s will no longer exist…

Now moving onto what my life does revolve around…  It appears we I have a new bed partner.  The last two nights, my sweet little man has slept in our bed.  He has become a little clingy over the last couple of days.  I asked him this morning if he was going to start sleeping in mommy's bed and he said, yeah yeah…  That’s awesome!  I do love to cuddle, but I enjoy having room to move in my bed too.  Between the husband and my kitty girl, I’m already pushed to the far edge of my side of the bed.  I mine as well sleep on the floor or couch.  It’s funny, I always said that my kiddos wouldn’t be allowed to sleep in our bed, no way…  Fast forward two years, and now I’m asking my son if he's going to sleep in mommy's bed.  Thank goodness he said yeah yeah!  I think my feelings might have been hurt if he told me no!

Photobucket

Looking forward to the weekend, I'm ready to get my laziness on.  No plans as of yet, but I might have a watching party/sleepover of the Royal Wedding, if my girlfriend does decide to come over tomorrow night.  But, she will be responsible for getting up with the kiddos Saturday morning and fixing me breakfast!  We will dress in our best pajamas, A has the blow dryer ready to fix our hair, and we will drink our beverages from the best tea cups I can find, they may not match and could be plastic!  I’m curious, are you going to watch the Royal Wedding?  Are you going to a watching party?  Are you going to get all dressed up for the affair?  I just want to see how out of the loop I am!

***You see the tight gripe the little man has on my leg...

What I Wore Wednesday...

Hello Wednesday and hello to the ladies of WIWW!  Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter!  The past week, it has rained every day, and my allergies have been horrible.  You would think with all the rain, my allergies wouldn’t be as bad as they have been…  And with the humidity, my hair has either been frizzy, sticky or flat…

I will be linking up with The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday…

He did it...

You see this sweet adorable, precious, funny little man…

Photobucket

Yeah, he is also ornery, and broke my camera yesterday!

So, to get my camera to work, I have tape holding the part that is broke.  My camera is now ghetto fabulous!

I told him, I would be taking the money he has in his piggy bank to buy me a new camera…  Luckily for him, I’m not that kinda mama.  I will just take it out of daddy’s piggy bank, just don’t tell him…

We are all pretty tired in this house...

So, we are calling it a night…

A lovely Easter Sunday...

Hello Monday, goodbye Monday!  I need a vacation from the busy weekend we had.  It was a great weekend, but it left this mama very exhausted!  And then I had to jump right into a busy week at work.  What happen to having an actual break!?!  I need a vacation, a vacation from life itself, to sleep…  I want to go hibernate somewhere, yes I really do.  I have had the hardest time today, keeping my eyes open.  This weather doesn’t help anything either.  Thunder, lightening and rain just make me want to crawl under my covers, and snuggle down in my bed, that is oh so very comfy, and have my kitty girl curl up beside me, to drift off into dreamland…  Doesn’t that sound lovely!?!

Are you tired of me, telling you how tired I am…?  Well I’m tired of telling you how tired I am, so I will move on, to the two little stinkers that make me tired…

Yesterday we went over to the in-laws for Easter lunch, and an egg hunt for the kiddos.  It was a nice day, but a little hot for an Easter Sunday, if you ask me!  All the kiddos had fun getting to hunt for eggs, and see what goodies where hidden inside.  Since I don’t really believe in my kiddos eating sweets, our plastic eggs were filled with stickers, and a few other little goodies I found in the party section at the store.  Which I can’t speak for the other kids, but my baby boy loved what he found in each egg!  I know, because we have stickers everywhere.  Now I’m having to try and keep them out of the mouth of my very active 9 month old.

Meet the Constantine kids…  All I have to say, we (the grown ups) are all in trouble!
Photobucket
***There was one little Constantine missing yesterday...  Poor sweet Caroline, I sure hope she is doing better!

Our family keeps growing, there is a total of 7 kiddos, 5 and under.  And trying to get a picture of all them, actually looking in the same direction, smiling, and being still is a major challenge!  I look forward to our holiday pictures every year, NOT!
Photobucket
Photobucket

Our attempt at getting pictures taking with our kiddos on Easter…

We keep things very casual on Easter...  When you are on the ground chasing a 9 month old, and rolling around with a 2 year old, I don't want to be in a dress...  Outfits need to be very infant and toddler friendly, and  90 degree weather comfortable.  I'm not going for chic at all!
Photobucket

This was my little angel's 1st Easter, and she had fun getting to play in the grass, and pretend that she was hunting eggs.  She was really picking grass, and trying to eat it.  Sweet girl, I love you!  Your mama thinks you are the most precious baby girl ever!

Photobucket

My sweet little man would say “MINE” every time he found an egg.  He is/was so cute!  Baby boy, you make mama so happy.  You’re my funny little man!  Baby boy, I love you!

The day wouldn't be complete without this...

Photobucket

Baby girl and her meltdowns, gotta love em…  As always, daddy to rescue…

We truly did have a great Easter weekend!  Now, I'm ready for bed, so I can try to get some much needed rest.

Goodnight sweet angels!

She did what, and Easter dinner...

Photobucket

You see this precious little angel…!?!

Photobucket

Guess what she did yesterday…

She took her first step!  Yay little girl!  And I actually was home to see this moment take place!  I probably scared her with all the screaming and jumping up and down I did, from the excitement!  As exciting as this moment is, we are now in trouble...  There is truly no stopping her now!

The last two days have been so BUSY!  Yesterday my OCD kicked in full force.  I was doing laundry, cleaning, prepping everything for lunch today, helping the little man color eggs, along with filling the plastic eggs.

Yesterday while I was at the store, I saw some Toy Story tattoos, that I thought M would love.  The little man loves stickers, but his sister usually always ends up with them, in her mouth.  That isn't good...  I figured he would love the tattoos, and I wouldn't have to worry about the little girl, win win, I thought.  Well, it didn't go as I had planned.  I was all excited about my little find, and couldn't wait to show the little man...  For him to freak out on me!  So, the husband, A and me all ended up with Toy Story tattoos, so that M would know that it was "All Good"...  Now he loves them, and we are all sporting the tattoos for the next 3-5 days, awesome!

Photobucket

I know, we are so cool!

Last night I got everything ready for the little man to color eggs.  Let me just say, I’m a total control freak, and I stress out majorly about most things (I know hard to believe).  So, I was a little stressed about how this might turn out!  But, as with most things, I was stressed for nothing, the little man did great, and had a blast!  He was so excited about his eggs!

Photobucket

Today we had my family over for Easter dinner.  I had volunteered to cook dinner this year, and what big shoes I had to fill!  Before my Nana got sick, she was the one that usually cooked holiday dinners. So, I wanted today to be special, and for everyone to enjoy the day.  The holidays will now be spent at our house, so I felt I needed to let everyone know that we I could handle it.  After agreeing to cook this meal, I started to get stressed (no surprise there).  I can cook pasta dishes, no problem.  But I had agreed to cook a ham, along with a few other items. And the items I wanted to cook, weren’t all that simple.  So this morning I sat on the couch for an hour, thinking what I have gotten myself into?  What if the food turns out horrible?  What if I have forgotten something?

Photobucket
***My serving dishes are over 60 years old, and were hand painted in Germany.  They were my Aunt's, that she gave to me, as a wedding gift.

The meal turned out GREAT!  Everyone loved the ham, along with the items that were fixed.

After lunch the husband hid the eggs for the kiddos to do an Easter egg hunt.

Photobucket

Baby boy, you are so adorable!  Mama loved watching you find the eggs that daddy hid in the backyard!  The little man cleaned up the backyard, he only left a few for his cousin.  Luckily she was more interested in playing with the soccer ball and the dogs.

Photobucket

Hey beautiful, mama is so excited that you have taken your first step!  I was so afraid I was going to miss this moment, like I did with your brother!  Hope you enjoyed all the goodies you got today!

We have another busy day tomorrow...  We will be going over to the in-laws for lunch.  The little man will get to enjoy playing with his cousins, and another egg hunt.  The little girl will get adored from afar, as she probably won't let anyone hold her but mama, maybe daddy.

The last few days have been great, getting to have time off with the kiddos, having my Aunt here, and getting to have a wonderful day with family!  I’m truly one tired mama!  The kiddos are finally in bed, and that is where I'm about to be!

Goodnight sweet angels!

My own personal alarm...

My day started way too early this morning, with a little girl that was up before 6:00…  That’s a little early for this household, since we I don’t usually roll out of bed until 7:00…  But, since I needed to be at work early, or some would say on time, it was a good thing she woke me up.  So, thank you little girl for being my personal alarm clock this morning!  Then, I kinda forgot about the dogs having a groomer appointment this morning, so I had to get them to the groomers by 7:30.  Taking them to the groomers is always a pain in the you know what, for me!  For whatever reason, every time I go to drop them off, the ladies at the groomers always want to waste my time with asking a zillion questions…  Really, I want their hair cut the same way it has been since we started bringing them here, two years ago, why do we have to go through this every time!?!  You have a file for them, refer to your notes, thank you!  Then it never fails, they will call me around 2:00, letting me know they are ready to go home, which is great, but I work so I can’t get them at 2:00, so they will call me every 30 minutes, wanting to know if I have forgotten about my dogs…  I work people, I don’t get off work until 5:00!  Luckily the husband picked them up for me today, so I didn’t have to deal with them this afternoon.  I’m not really a morning person, especially since I’m always in a hurry!

Photobucket

Thanks sweet girl for waking mama up, and mama enjoyed our cuddle time this morning!  Mama misses our morning feedings!

Photobucket

The little man was excited to see his BPat today!

We are enjoying the company, and excited to have my Aunt here for the next few days!
 Photobucket

The kiddos are in bed, and I’m catching up on my TV shows, I only have 3 months worth of shows to watch!  Tomorrow is my Friday, and I’m ready for the three day weekend!

Goodnight sweet angels!

My love for Target...

I seriously have a love/hate relationship with Target…  I love all of your stuff, but I hate that I can’t walk out of your store without spending a small fortune…  Which given my shopping history, what I spend at Target is a drop in the bucket compared to what I use to spend, so I feel better now, when I look at it that way.  Same place and time tomorrow, I will bring my piece of plastic, if you promise to have goodies to fill my basket, muah!  I love when we can makeup, it makes me feel all giddy inside!

So, yes I went to Target today, and was on a mission, but as it always happens, I got side tracked.  Those darn kids, they eat away at my spending fund, that I don’t really have.  But it makes it sound so much better, doesn’t it, kinda like an allowance.  I work hard, and feel that every now and then, okay more like everyday, I should be rewarded for my hard work.  Sometimes it’s going to lunch with a girlfriend, running by sonic to get my favorite drink, or going shopping and then feeling guilty about it until you put on your new outfit and the husband tells you that you are beautiful…  Then you fall to a million pieces, and get all sappy with one another…

Okay, enough about that moving on...

Hey M, whatcha doing?

Photobucket

Oh I see, you are putting my oven mitts on your feet, awesome… How clever are you!?!  You sure do crack your mama up!  I sure do love you, it is never a dull moment when you are around.  I’m so glad you are feeling better!

Someone else is feeling better too...

Photobucket

Baby girl, mama misses our nighttime routine!  I’m glad you are feeling better too!  And I’m glad that you are getting better and putting yourself to sleep. I love you sweet angel!

I'm one tired mama, so I'm calling it a night...  See ya when I see ya, wouldn't want to be ya...

Not what I was asking for...

So I guess I should take it as a hint, when you go to order lunch and you don’t ask for the low-fat option, but you get it anyways, someone is trying to tell you something!  This happened to me today, but I didn’t realize it was the low-fat option until someone at work filled me in.  I’m sure I looked a little puzzled when she told me, because that isn’t what I asked for nor was I aware they had this option.  I don’t want anything that has low and fat together.  Loaded with fat, I’m all in, you don’t even need to ask…  My lunch was not worth what I paid for it!  I mean I guess it could have been an honest mistake, but when you say you want Tomato Basil with extra croutons and white bread, that is pretty clear, that I’m not on a diet, and I’m not looking to cut my calorie intake!

With that being said, you know what I bought today at lunch, a shaper…  Yeah the thing you wear under your clothes to make you look like you’re in shape…  I will blame this on the kiddos, not the fact that I’m too lazy to do something about it.  Hold that thought, I need to go grab me another Dr. Pepper…

Photobucket

Where were we, yes the shaper, and me blaming my kids.  As I was driving home today, I see all these people running in our neighborhood, sweating their you know what off, and all I could think about was how good my AC felt blowing in my face.  Maybe one day I will get back to the gym, and get my body back in shape where it once was, but not today or tomorrow.  I would appreciate it, when I order Tomato Basil with extra croutons, that is what I get, not low-fat Tomato Basil that has no taste!  Thankyousoverymuch!  I just had a baby, can I still use that excuse!?!  I have until A is a year right!?!  I sure hope so, because this mama is going to milk it as long as she can…

You see this little boy…

Photobucket

Sometimes it sure doesn’t take much to keep him entertained…   He gets a kick out of the simplest things.

The little man is doing so much better with his words.  Most kids so no, or shake their head no to pretty much everything, not my little man.  The other day M was doing his normal thing, not listening to me as usual, and I was tired and had about enough of it, so I looked at him and said, you do it one more time you’re going to time out.  So of course he did it again, and I said so you want to go to time out?  He looked at me and said yeah…  Like who doesn’t want to go to time out, mama!  Silly boy, of course once he went to time out, he started crying.  I will ask M, who loves you, and he will say mama…  M do you love mama, yeah.  And one of my favorite things he is saying, ho (hold) me.

Another Monday has passed, moving on to Tuesday, and that will leave me with three days until I will be enjoying my three day weekend!  I’m kinda excited.  We are having Easter at my house this year with my side of the family, and I’m cooking.  This is truly a big deal for me.  So the husband better get ready for my OCD to kick in full force!  Last year, the husband said he would pay $400 to have M’s birthday party somewhere else so he didn’t have to deal with control freak Shanna for a week…  I know nice, but I will say, it does get pretty bad.  But, I’m going to make a mental note, not to sweat the small things.  The important thing is, we will all be together, and everyone will be eating the dinner I fix, YAY!

Photobucket
